Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with Oryn in 5 minutes.

1. Create an account

Sign up with Google OAuth or email/password. No credit card required.

2. Create a project

Click "New Project" and give it a name (e.g., "HER2+ Gastric Cancer SR").

3. Import your papers

Upload your search results in RIS, CSV, or PubMed XML format. You can import from multiple databases, and Oryn will handle deduplication automatically.

4. Set your criteria

Define your inclusion/exclusion criteria using the PICO form. Choose your screening philosophy:

• Generous: When in doubt, include (recommended for abstract screening)
• Balanced: Apply criteria as written
• Strict: Only include papers that clearly meet every criterion

5. Start screening

Click Start Screening. The AI will evaluate each paper against your criteria and provide:

• A decision (Include / Exclude / Maybe)
• A confidence score (0-100%)
• A 2-3 sentence explanation

6. Review decisions

Focus on the "Maybe" pile. These are the papers the AI was uncertain about. You can override any decision.

7. Export

Download your PRISMA flow diagram, CSV of decisions, and audit trail. Ready for publication.
