General Questions

What is Oryn?

Oryn is an AI-powered platform for systematic review screening. It automates the most time-consuming part of systematic reviews: reading and evaluating thousands of papers.

Who is Oryn for?

Anyone conducting systematic reviews or meta-analyses: medical researchers, PhD students, clinical teams, evidence synthesis groups, and research departments.

How is Oryn different from Covidence or Rayyan?

Oryn was built AI-first. Unlike Covidence (manual-first) or Rayyan (AI-bolt-on), Oryn provides confidence scores for every decision, offers a complete pipeline from import to PRISMA export, and combines AI screening with manual review tools in one platform.

Can I use Oryn for non-medical reviews?

Yes! While our codebook system has 34 medical domains, the screening tool works for any systematic review, including social sciences, education, environmental science, and more.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. You get up to 5 projects with unlimited abstracts for manual screening, free forever. AI-powered screening is included during the pilot period. No credit card required.
